Our Classes

Babies 0 - 2 years

At Young Ones Day Nursery babies are cared for with a high child/staff ratio. They share the large and small outdoor play areas, and indoors there are extensive facilities to stimulate all aspects of development.  Gross motor development at this age is hugely important.

Toddlers 2 - 3 years

Have informal but carefully structured activities to encourage the growing child's learning through play.  Once again the value of outdoor play for gross motor skill development is paramount.

Tweenies 3 - 5 years

Covering all aspects of the National Curriculum and Early Learning Goals.

  • Personal and Social Development
  • Language and Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Physical Development
  • Creative Development

We have arts and crafts, water, sand, paint, books, stories, singing, dancing, music, drama and cookery.  Imaginative, constructional skill for all.

We are lucky to have a huge outdoor area both grassed and hardstanding, which is fenced off and secure.  Recent research has shown that when asked, children value outdoor play above all other activities.
